In a National Public Radio interview , the authors described both how difficult it was to get Boswell to tell his side of the story, and how unprecedented it was to have this access - but Boswell did not like the title. An almost incredible story about a family who was responsible for shaping so much of California's growth- and who still controls what is more valuable than gold to the state: its water. 558 pages.
