A bilingual booklet which explains the basics of bullfighting, and illustrates it with 24 full page, full color paintings by six artists - Ruano Llopis, Carreno, Navarrete, Ruiz Vela, Ximenez and Luis Gomez. As Candido explains in the brief prologue, the paintings are from the collection of the printer, Aboitiz, who was responsible for all the publicity related to the bullfight in Mexico for 25 years. Measures 6 1/2 by 4 1/2 inches. Unpaginated. Picture of the Plaza Mexico, the largest bull ring in the world, on the back cover.

Thomas Bailey arrived in California with his family in 1848, at the age of 14. They settled in Dixon, where they raised cattle and wheat, and Thomas is credited with the invention of the Jackson Feeder for threshing machines. The excepts included here are all related to the Sacramento area, including notes of Sutter's Fort, the first ferry on the American River, etc. 12 pp.

Why do you not advertise them? say in the Christian Union? The one you sent me for trial has done unexpectedly well, and I would like to get others . . . " followed by his suggestion to increase its effectiveness and SIGNED in full Henry Ward Beecher. Note covers both sides of one small sheet of paper, measuring…
