And, in the beginning, it presents logically the arguments made by wine-growers and merchants about why wine should be exempted from any prohibition acts - but in the end it come down firmly on the side of temperance and total prohibition as the plot develops rather melodramatically. A bit of a polemic, but still an interesting read. 384 pp.
