    Condition: Very good condition overall in tan covers with a black and red illustration on the front cover. Minor wear to covers, but spine is straight, binding is tight and contents are very clean. An attractive copy of this rather uncommon book.

    Condition: Fair condition only in the tan covers with a black and red illustration on the front cover. Some soiling to the covers and toning to the spine, front hinge cracked, previous owner's name. Missing the frontispiece and two of the plates (5 plates are still present.) Still a bit better than just a good reading copy of a rather hard to find book.

    Condition: Very good minus in tan boards with red and black illustrations and lettering - a tight clean copy (frontispiece is detached but still present, some spine slant, hinge beginning to crack before title page, but binding overall is still quite sturdy)

Retains some of the original illustrations by Kurt Wiese with small vignettes at the beginning of each story, but he is no longer identified as the illustrator on the title page. A title in the Young Moderns series. 224 pp Dust jacket art by Frank Dobias.

    Condition: Very good in red cloth in a very good bright and attractive dust jacket - some toning and offsetting to the endpapers, minor edgewear to dj, but overall a tight, straight and sturdy copy.
