One of the 3 titles written by Walter Karig using the 'house name' of Carolyn Keene (all of the earlier titles had been written by Mildred Wirt Benson, but she refused to accept a reduction in the amount paid per manuscript - from $125 to $75) . This was originally #9 in the series (in 1932) but was issued in a revised edition in 1933 and re-numbered as #10 in the series. 220 pp.
Condition: Very good condition in blue covers with orange lettering and an orange silhouette of Nancy looking through a magnifying glass, orange and white illustrated endpapers. (minor shelfwear to the covers).
