Hardcover first edition - The third book of poetry by the author of "Lolly Willows" (and many other books) - a single long poem which is, despite the rather heroic title, about an unsociable woman, named Rebecca Random, "who lives in an idyllic cottage, lives on bread and lives for gin, and has an almost uncanny ability to grow flowers." It is about the darker side of village life - although they are willing to buy her flowers, they do not accept her - and the struggles of women in the period between the two world wars. Bound in green paper covered boards with a black cloth spine, lettered in gilt with decorative design on front cover. 66 pp.

Condition: Near fine in a good dustjacket (a few pages still unopened, edgewear to the dj and short tears, original price of 2.00 still present)
