THE SUNKEN SAILOR.

Edition: First printing.

London: Crime Club by Collins, (1961) dj. Hardcover first edition - The author's second mystery feauturing Chief Inspector Henry Tibbett and his wife, Emmy, who have been invited on a sailing vacation with some new friends, on a quiet part of the Suffolk coast. However, when Henry is told of a recent "accidental" death on a sandbar, he suspects that there is more to it. As Emmy exclaims "Oh Henry, not again! Can we have a single holiday in peace?" Quite aside from the mystery, this book contains some great descriptions of sailing, and learning about sailing (just as the first book in this series had about skiing). 256 pp.

Condition: Very good in very good dust jacket (usual toning to the pages, some foxing to the fore-edge of the textblock, minor edgewear to dj, price-clipped) Overall a decent copy of a book which is quite hard to find in the first edition.
