Illustrated with 63 engravings on wood. A title in the Illustrated Library of Wonders. 325 pp plus 9 pp of advertisements (including 'specimen illustrations' from other titles in the series.)
Condition: Good condition overall in embossed red cloth with gilt decorations on the spine. From a college library with a bookplate on front pastedown, one stamp on front endpaper, no other markings - some soiling and wear to the covers, fraying to the ends of the spine; binding is sturdy and tight, contents are very clean. A reasonably attractive copy of a book which is uncommon in the first edition.
