The story of a city-raised boy, teased by his classmates as "fatty" or "sissy" who is separated from the group on a hunting trip in the Owyhee Mountains of Idaho. There he meets an Indian boy who calls him derisively 'squaw boy' but after they manage to survive together thru the harsh winter, he develops a sense of self-reliance. Illustrated by Paul Vantino. 188 pp.

    Condition: Ex-library with the usual markings, missing front endpaper, but otherwise tight and clean in a very good dustjacket with no markings but thinning to the edges of the flaps where they had been pasted down. Original price of 2.50 still present.
