Ê Wasson was responsible for bringing awareness of Sabina to the Western World - first in a Life Magazine article in 1957 "Seeking the Magic Mushroom" where he did not disclose her real identity (Wasson actually used "sacred" mushroom, but the title was changed and the "magic mushroom" become a part of the counterculture) and later in a book which did give her name.
