Hardcover first edition - A story for older children or young adults which is set against one of Seaman's more unusual locations: Number Six in the title refers to a now abandoned pool from a phospate mine, and the idyllic loveliness of this pool is contrasted with the scenes of the working mine. Interesting picture of Florida during the early 1920s - references to selling an alligator hide for a dollar, the young people attend a moving picture show, etc. Illustrated by W. P. Couse with a frontispiece and 3 inserted plates on glossy stock. 254 pp.

    Condition: Very good condition overall in blue-gray cloth with light blue lettering and blue and pink silhouette illustration on front cover (previous owner's name dated July 1923, 1 plate is detached but still present)
