    PHYLLIS.

    Edition: First printing.

Garden City, NY: Doubleday, 1962. dj. Hardcover first edition - A novel of suspense, set at the height of the Cold War, and with a serious theme: two physicists, one Russian and one American, have simultaneously sent a message threatening to destroy Moscow and New York unless their respective leaders can agree on a nuclear ban. 214 pp. Dust jacket by Irene Murray.

Condition: Good only in a good dust jacket (stamps on endpaper of a Hollywood literary agency, and discoloration from tape on the dj flaps, rubbing and wear to the dj, especially along the folds) A somewhat flawed - if interesting - copy of a title surprisingly uncommon in the first edition.
