His travels through central Africa, including Nigeria, Lake Chad, Congo, Uganda, Tanzania, was during a time when it was still very wild, and this book describes the native peoples and wildlife - especially lions - in detail.     Condition: Very good condition overall in black cloth with gold lettering and stamped illustration of a lion's head on the front cover (prev owner's name, some shelfwear to the edges of the boards and at the ends of the spine, rubbing to the gold on the front cover.)
