Hardcover first edition - The second espionage novel by this prolific writer featuring Dr. Jason Love, a GP in a Somerset, England, who somehow is always found by trouble. While in Switzerland on a ski vacation, Love first discovers a body of a man shot on the slope, and then is asked for help by the Nawab of a country high in the Himalayas on the border of China, a man with whom he had served in Burma, whose son has been partially blinded by a laser, and threatened with permanent blindness, if ransom demands are not met. Leasor and Love share many things - including owing a vintage Cord automobile and serving in Burma during World War II. 232 pp. ISBN: 0-434410136.
