Adapted from one chapter of Kao Yu-pao's autobiography, this tells of the part he played in the underground against the Japanese invaders in Northeast China before and in WWII. "The story thoroughly exposes the Japanese imperialists' oppression of the Chinese workers and faithfully brings out the militant struggle and lofty qualities of the Chinese working class led by the Chinese Communist Party." Illustrated in black and white on every page by Kao Yu-Pao, Tao Chih-an, Lu Tan, Pen Ching-yu, Wang Hsu-yang and Chou Li. Oblong format. 96 pp.
