James named one of Hare's later novels, 'Tragedy at Law.' as one of her five favorite dectective stories and the book she considered the best English legal crime novel - however, all of Hare's books are well-worth reading, and most are classics in their own right. 200 pp.

    Condition: Very good in a good dust jacket. - a little fading to the edges of the cloth, the dustjacket has a loss of about 3/4 of an inch at the top of the spine, but the striking front cover illustration by Victor Reinganum is still bright and attractive.
