Joy was raised by servants until she was six, and then ran away and joined a Gypsy band until she was ten or eleven. Like Janet and Phyllis Page in this author's Twins series, Joy and her "new sister" Pam are sturdy, independent girls who eventually attend a girls' boarding school. 216 pp plus 4 pp publisher's ads.
Condition: Near fine in orange boards with black lettering in a very good dust jacket (dj has short closed tear to upper edge of front cover, a small peeled spot, but is overall bright and attractive)
