    San Francisco: Harper & Row, (1978) dj. Hardcover first edition - Japanese high altitude skier Yuichiro Miura, at age 37, became the first person to ski on Mt. Everest on May 6th, 1970. The entire descent, approximately 4,200 vertical feet, took about 2 minutes and 20 seconds - it was recorded in the 1975 documentary 'The Man Who Skied Down Everest,' the first sports film to win an Academy Award for best documentary. This book recounts the story of this event, illustrated with both full-color and black and white photographs. Notably, many years later, in 2003, at the age of 70, Miura became the oldest person to reach the summit of Mount Everest, and then, in 2008, he climbed Everest again at over 75 years old and again in 2013 at age 80! 170 pp. ISBN: 0-062505750.
