    Edition: 2nd printing (just one month after the first printing,)

    Philadelphia: Whittier Press, (1954.). A small pamphlet of poems published to raise funds after Lowenfels was arrested and indited under the Smith Act for advocating the 'overthrow' of the country in his poetry. In addition to the poems, this includes Lowenfel's "credo." With a note on the covers about the author by Louis Aragon, translated by Mike Gold and a small portrait on the back cover by Elizabeth Catlett. Small chapbook measuring just 4 1/4 inches by 6 inches. 24 pp. .
