Left uncompleted at Beardsley's death, this edition is based on Glassco's careful collating of three earlier texts by and it includes all of the original Beardsley illustrations. Originally published in France, this first US edition has a slightly modified introduction which includes a paragraph about Edmund Wilson's appreciation of Beardsley.
