Noble, Jr. states "The private publication of this series of plays requires a short explanation. The plays were conceived originally by the author to fill a void. There were no suitable plays available to be given at a Woman's Club exclusively by female actors. The first play in 1956 was such a success that clamor arose in the Club for a sequel. Thus was born a pattern of playwriting which extended for over more than a decade. In many of the productions the author also participated as actress. After the death of the author in early 1972, her husband wanted to make the plays available to the enthusiastic audiences and perhaps to members of Women's Clubs elsewhere." A handsomely produced book, a small quarto, bound in blue cloth with gilt lettering, red title and small stylized flower also in red on the title page. 233 pp.
