"Uncle Ben in Japan" is illustrated with drawings by Horace F. King, and features many activities for students from a puzzle map of connect the numbered dots to find the words and more. "Uncle Ben in the Panama" is illustrated throughout with photographs, although there is a final page to make a list of new words. Both books are written in the form of letters to children (Japan) and boys and girls (Panama) 48 pp, 32 pp.respectively. Panama includes 1 page listing of the titles to itself. Both are uncommon and provide an interesting look at US elementary school education in the early 1930s.
Condition: Fair condition only in stapled illustrated wrappers. Both copies have a library stamp on title page, Japan has some soiling on front cover, Panama has a clipped upper corner.
