He was an important part in the British Poetry Revival of the 1960s and 1970s, and instrumental in introducing many American poets to England and the section "Walls" in this collection has poems for several of them - Robert Creeley, Robert Duncan, Cid Corman, Charles Tomlinson, as well as British poets like Basil Bunting and Ian Hamilton Finlay.
