Also included is are essays on a white water trip in Maine, a proposed floating nuclear power plant which would be off the coast of New Jersey, and on pinbal machines. The longest piece is about a chef just outside NYC, who wants to remain anonymous, so the focus will be on his food. The comments made by this chef caused a lot of controversy when first published in the New Yorker, and now, on pg. 245 there is a meek little footnote "Otto guessed wrong."
