It includes The Sword in the Stone (1938), about the youth of Arthur; The Queen of Air and Darkness (published in 1939 as The Witch in the Wood); The Ill-Made Knight (1940), focusing on Guinevere and Sir Lancelot's forbidden love and the first appearance of The Candle in the Wind, which describes the downfall of the Kingdom of Camelot. 677 pp.

Condition: Very good in dark blue cloth with gold lettering on the spine (some wear to the covers, light toning, but a straight and sturdy copy) Surprisingly uncommon in the first American edition.
