Penn Publishing Company, (1914). Hardcover first edition - An uncommon book of short verses by this husband and wife team who are best known for their historical novels for older children and young adults. These little poems were written for children to help them remember what they need to do - from brushing your teeth in the morning, washing hands, watering flowers, to staying up late and brushing teeth before bed. Illustrated throughout with arts and crafts style black and white drawings and three full color plates. The Knipes are best known 80 pp.
Condition: While the decorative brown binding with black lettering and illustration is attractive and the binding is sturdy, this book is only in poor to fair condition at best - most of one leaf (pp 27-28) has been cut out, and it is missing one of the color plates (for winter), the summer plate is detached but still present and the autumn plate has been partially detached.
