The rear flap 'about the author' and 'about the artist', illustrator Mary Stevens. Bound in red and pink diamond patterned boards, with green and white diamond endpapers. One of a series of books issued by the Golden Press in a more deluxe - and at $1 a more expensive -format. Although the back cover of the book mentions eight titles as the "first" in this new series, as far as I know these were the only titles ever issued - and this was the only Trixie Belden book issued in this format. 282 pp.
Condition: Near fine in near fine dust jacket (usual toning to the pages, dust jacket beginning to delaminate on the flaps but still bright and attractive, a tight straight copy)
