THE MARKED HAND: Magnet Detective Library #403,

Edition: First thus.

New York: Street and Smith, (1905). First edition - Nick Carter is a fictional character who began as a dime novel private detective in 1886 and has appeared in a variety of formats over more than a century, as well as the author of these stories. The character was first conceived by Ormond G. Smith, son of one of the founders of Street and Smith and created by John R. Coryell. Originally the stories were serialized in the Nick Carter Weekly, and then they appeared as stand-alone novels in the Magnet Detective Library (in the ad on the back cover the publishers state that they "control exclusively" the works of Nick Carter) This was the issue for August 2. 1905. 214 pp.

Condition: Rather poor condition with both covers detached, but present (text block is stapled), age-toning to pages, extremely fragile, but uncommon in this 1905 printing.
