THE 500 HATS OF BARTHOLOMEW CUBBINS.
Edition: Early printing.
New York: Vanguard, (c 1938.) dj. Hardcover - A very attractive early copy of Dr. Seuss's hard to find second book, varying from the first edition by only a few points (the order of the hats on the endpapers, the lack of the final Mulberry St price on the rear flap - see Younger, p 62.) Large format, unpaginated, bound in black illustrated paper covered boards with red cloth spine, illustrated in black and white with touches of red.
Condition: Near fine in very good dust jacket (corners slightly bumped, but otherwise clean and tight, dust jacket is price clipped with only a bit of the $ sign still showing, has one short closed tear on bottom of front cover, and small tear to side of spine)
