The story, published in 1957, follows a teenage boy named Gil whose brother, Hilary, a botanist, is a member of a crew of scientists who are making an expedition to the moon. Gil is not supposed to go along, but he falls asleep in the crew's ship and inadvertently becomes a stowaway. When they reach the far side of the moon they discover a livable atmosphere and two races of men in conflict. Illustrated with drawings by Martin Thomas. 179 pp. Dust jacket art by Arno.

Condition: Very good in light blue cloth with dark blue lettering on the spine in a fair only dust jacket with chips at both ends of the spine, several tears and rubbing on the folds (now protected by an archival cover)
