INSCRIBED by author Ron Trout on the blank page following the copyright (the recto of the dedication page) - and this full page inscription tells some of the story behind the book: ".Remember those goddamn Depression days back in the thirties? This story is about my bastard brother and me in the Ozark Mountains in 1933 & 1934. By god, we had a ball until the hillbillies caught up with us." Illustrated with drawings by the authors (Allie Vern has since achieved recognition as an artist) and Conrad Diethelm. 216 pp.
Condition: Very good in black cloth with gold lettering in a fair only dust jack (several chips to the dj edges, tear along the fold). Uncommon.
