Each portrays the disastrous consequences of misbehavior in a humorous and exaggerated way. In her foreword, Twain's daughter, Clara Clemens describes living with her family in 1891 in a drab flat in Berlin: this translation was a marvelous Christmas present to his three children! In addition to the foreword by Clara Clemens, this includes an introduction by Philip Hofer. A tall, slim book - 34 pp plus colophon, hand-numbered as 719 out of 1500.

Condition: Very good in original red-morocco-backed pictorial cloth, gilt lettering on spine, lacking the slipcase.
