Georges Querelle, a young sailor at large in Brest, is a bisexual thief, prostitute and serial killer who manipulates and even kills his lovers. Basis for the 1982 film "Querelle" directed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder. Translated by Gregory Streatham and published as part of a uniform edition of Genet's works. 320 pp.
