Set in 1690, this is the story of fourteen year old Constance who is excited to move from Philadephia to the frontier 100 miles west, where her father has been given a large land grant. Illustrated by Hattie Longstreet with a glossy frontispiece and two internal glossy plates. Only lists the first 4 titles in this series at the front of the book. 277 pp. Green and white illustrated endpapers.

Condition: Good overall in apple green cloth with black lettering - some fading to the spine covering and rubbing and wear to the sides, but the title is still easily legible and the book is tight and sturdy, no dust jacket.
