RUTH FIELDING AT GOLDEN PASS or The Perils of an Artificial Avalanche. #21 in series.

Edition: First or very early edition.

New York: Cupples & Leon Company, (1928). Hardcover - Ruth receives financial backing from an unknown person, and the Ruth Fielding Film Company is created. Already a talented writer, Ruth is now a successful director. Ruth is also still postponing marriage to Tom. Towards the end of this book is a bit of rather astonishing dialogue for a juvenile series - Tom is jealous of an actor who kisses Ruth on screen, but the actor explains "I can't make love for a cent no matter how hard I try. You see, I don't care for girls that way, never did." Lists to this title at beginning of book, to #22 the ads at the rear. Glossy frontispiece. 205 pp plus 6 pp of publisher's advertisements.
