Hardcover - One of Seaman's best books, which uses very effectively both the historical mystery, set during the American Revolution and involving a plot to murder George Washington, and the 'modern' New York City and the constant tearing down and rebuilding which it had undergone. Illustrated by C. M. Relyea, frontispiece and 6 glossy plates . Originally published in 1916, this had many printings over the next two decades and more, but is still rather hard to find today. 290 pp.
Condition: Very good overall (corners slightly bumped, previous owner's name, but a straight and clean copy) Bound in rust cloth with black lettering and small illustrations.
