Like all of his book, this is illustrated with his drawings - in this case, there are 35 illustrations ranging from full pages to chapter headers and footers and decorative initials. Parker was born in New Jersey, but married and worked most of his life in Kansas - this adventure story for boys is set in Indian territory in the West.
