THE GIRL IN A SWING.
Edition: Uncorrected proof (trade paperback format. )
London: Allen Lane, (1980.). SIGNED first edition - A very different novel by the author best known for 'Watership Down.' A love story with a steadily growing undertone of horror. It is ironical - in light of the fact that in the preface to this book, Adams says that he "cannot be sure of unraveling the experienced from the imagined" - that this novel was the subject of a libel suit, and the first printings were suppressed and the name of the main character - Kathe - was changed (this proof copy is, of course, the first state with the original name.) INSCRIBED by Adams on the first page "To - yours sincerely." 397 pp.
Condition: Very good in printed blue covers - an uncommon advance issue.
