Edition: Later printing.
Toronto: Carswell Co, 1902. Hardcover - As the author explains in the preface "My object in getting up this book was not merely for the dollars I would make out of it, but to place before the people what knowledge and experience I have had with horses. I see every day very much need of a book of this kind.. . . I am sure it will be worth ten times the price charged for it." The cover refers to Brush as 'horse educator and veterinary dentist." and so this includes a whole section on horse's teeth, complete with illustration showing the changes at various ages. Illustrated throughout. Index. 224 pp.
Condition: Good condition in pebbled dark brown cloth with gilt lettering - long gift inscription on the front endpaper, some wear to the corners, and toning to the pages - gilt on front cover is bright, and binding is sturdy, so overall a rather appealing small volume.
