We have been members of The Independent Online Booksellers Association (IOBA)
since 1997. Its mission statement sums up its goals and
beliefs: The Independent Online Booksellers Association is
dedicated to promoting independent online bookselling by:
1. Maintaining and enforcing high professional standards
among our international membership, backed up by a strong Code of
Ethics.
2. Furthering bookseller professional development through
the establishment of a Mentorship Program, the granting of
scholarships, the publication of our online journal the IOBA Standard,
and other formal and informal support systems and educational
initiatives.
3. Promoting trust between customers and booksellers by
providing a safe online environment for the sale and purchase of books.
4. Fostering consumer awareness of online book buying.
5. Interacting with businesses, organizations, and governmental entities that have an impact on online bookselling.
6. Providing programs and services that will help member booksellers to strengthen their businesses.

Amador County Vineyards In addition to books, quaint small towns
steeped in history, and spectacular high Sierra scenery, Amador County
is also the "other wine" country - unspoiled, uncrowded, most small
family run wineries producing some great wines at reasonable prices -
Black Chasm Cavern National Natural Landmark
- Established in 1976, this stunning cavern with its spectacular
foot-long crystal formations, huge rooms and deep lakes is a must see
for cavern enthusiasts. The Colossal Room is 100 feet across and 150
feet deep with giant rock bridges lodged high above deep, dark lakes.
The Landmark Room is famous for its massive arrays of twisting, looping
helictite crystals. The giant Hall of Arches is a complex maze of
marble arches which span wall to wall over and under each other.
